2025 Homegrown Submissions

Open Until Nov. 11

The 9th Annual Homegrown Film Festival returns to
The Argyros on November 29 with showtimes at 4:00 PM and 7:30 PM.

Join us for local films, global stories, and mountain town stoke — all in support of the Friends of the Sawtooth Avalanche Center.

Categories

  • Amateur (1–3 minutes)
For first-time filmmakers or casual creators. We love organic, rough-cut stories — trip edits, best lines, drone reels, or vertical cell phone footage.

  • Professional (3–10 minutes)
For developed storylines or professionally produced films. If your edit exceeds 10 minutes, please submit a teaser version.

Judging Criteria

  1. How “Homegrown” is it?

  2. Storyline quality

  3. Filming quality

  4. Editing quality

  5. Overall impression

Submission Guidelines

Please include a downloadable link (YouTube, Vimeo, Dropbox, or Drive) in your submission.
All films must be .mov or .mp4 with attention to sound levels.

Include:

  • Film title

  • Names of filmmakers and athletes

  • Location of production

Not all films will be accepted — we typically receive over 3.5 hours of footage for a 1.5-hour show. Whether your film is selected or not, come join the celebration!

If you experience issues with the submission form, email
